How Charming!
Make-up Meets Fine Jewellery with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit: Charms
Hourglass’ Ambient Lighting Edit: Charms turns a cult palette into a customisable golden keepsake.
We know you may have set your intentions and manifested your dreams during the Lion’s Gate portal, but Hourglass Cosmetics are here to keep the spiritual luck flowing well into the season with their latest launch: Ambient Lighting Edit: Charms, a make-up palette meets fine-jewellery-inspired talisman fit for your beauty routine.
Inspired by the craftsmanship of fine jewellery, Hourglass has taken its cult Ambient Lighting Edit and reimagined it as a personal treasure. The gold palette is designed to hold two magnetic charms, chosen from a curated set of 48 intricate designs crafted from premium metals and, in some cases, adorned with gemstones. You can pick gemstone-encrusted initials, zodiac symbols, lucky talismans like the horseshoe or evil eye, and nature-inspired emblems from crescent moons to lightning bolts. Sold separately, the charms can be collected, swapped, and styled to suit your mood, and they’ll be available at the Hourglass counter long after the pop-up has closed.
Inside, six of Hourglass’ bestselling powders - a luminous mix of finishing powder, bronzer, highlighter and blushes - work their magic with the brand’s signature Photoluminescent Technology, designed to soften light, blur imperfections and give skin that lit-from-within radiance. Choose from the warm corals and soft plums of Volume I, or the golden beiges and bold reds of Volume II. Each shade can be worn alone or layered for a multi-dimensional glow worthy of its own manifestation ritual.
Launching on 14 August at £92 per palette (£18 per charm), the Ambient Lighting Edit: Charms will be available exclusively in-store at Selfridges Oxford Street and the Hourglass NYC flagship. And if you want the full sparkle-infused experience? A visit to The Charms Bar (running from 14-28 August at the Hilary site in Selfridges’ main beauty hall) is non-negotiable, after all, who couldn’t use a little extra good fortune in their glow?
