LFW SS26 Highlights: Part 1
Erdem's New Flagship
A studio of craft, contrast and character!
The opening follows the launch of ERDEM, the Rizzoli-published monograph chronicling the designer’s poetic world. Now, that same sensibility unfolds across two floors of a 1920s Art Deco building in the heart of Chelsea, designed by P. J. Architecture and Design.
The result is a study in contrasts: tactile, polished, intimate and precise. Canvas, plaster and warm wood sit alongside cool steel and glass, creating a rhythm of textures that feels both handcrafted and contemporary. Key details include hand-painted wall panels in Erdem's signature blue, plaster finished mannequins and bespoke furniture. There is something to be said about the creation of ambiance, how the physical spaces brands choose to create reflect the level of attention put into their actual garments. By elevating their brick and mortar elements, Erdem ferments itself as a brand of true style, where everything is done intentionally and with thought about how we as consumers value holistic brand immersion.
“After ten years in Mayfair, our expansion to Sloane Street represents a natural evolution,” says Erdem Moralioglu. “If South Audley Street feels like her private home, then Sloane Street is her studio – a space full of energy and expression.”
True to that vision, the store unfolds like an artist’s atelier. Works by Tracey Emin, Nan Goldin and Kaye Donachie are shown in quiet dialogue with pieces by Henry Lamb and Wilhelm Lehmbruck, reinforcing Erdem’s ongoing fascination with narrative, femininity and form.
Located at 50a Sloane Street, London SW1X 9SN, the flagship opened on Tuesday 21 October, inviting visitors into a world where craft and contemporary culture meet in delicate balance!
